Rural communities in the Arctic often do not have access to reliable food quality and safety information related to local sources. In combination with reports of "contaminated fish and wildlife", this can lead to undue anxiety. Many reports of contaminated fish and wildlife are
clearly not in a human foods consumption context, and unfortunately this is poorly communicated.
