Sociohygienic monitoring is regarded as a tool of active observation and justified intervention to correct health formation by means of a number of specific components of the monitoring system. It is suggested that the capacities of some monitoring components sufficient for a research and experimental base to promote health, be extensively introduced into practice of the public health system. Emphasis is laid on an important role of the elaboration of sociopsychological measures to work with some groups of the population and their informed consent for collaboration while implementing the preventive programs of the public health system.
