The Building and Housing Register (BBR) provides opportunity to carry out research on individuals' housing condition over time. The register was established in 1977.
The main variables in the register are high-quality variables and it is possible to match key entry variable and CPR-number identifying individuals.
There has been made alterations of definitions of some of the key variables and there is a data break in 2005. From 1994, data make longitudinal analyses possible.
Analyses based on data from BBR are valid and may provide knowledge about individual housing paths over time.
