Considered in the paper is modern technology of registration of deaths from malignant tumors in Ukraine. Ways are submitted for improvement of quality of data on life span of oncological patients with the purpose of optimizing the organization of the oncological service, securing an objective assessment of results of treatment of oncological patients according to mortality indices.
