The Division of Radiological Health, Public Health Service, initiated a study to provide further data for use in estimating the extent and magnitude of cesium 137 body burdens throughout Alaska. This report presents the results of an initial phase of the study, April and May 1965, which indicate that elevated cesium 137 body burdens are generally prevalent throughout the state.
