The Eskimos of the north have been studied extensively with regard to diet, health and adaptability to their environment. No such work has been done on the Southeast Alaska Indian population. This nutritional-physical health survey was conducted to detect any specific health problems and to better our understanding of human nutrition. The outcome of the study will be used as a guideline for the nutrition program in the Service Unit.
