A preliminary year among the Eskimos was spent by Henry W. Greist and his trained-nurse wife, Mollie Ward Greist, at Cape Prince of Wales on Bering Strait, during the season 1920-1921. In 1921 the Greists took charge of the Barrow mission and hospital, to remain until 1937. For this review, the author takes departure from Dr. Greist's longevity guesses.
