The article covers results of metabolic syndrome epidemiology studies in patients with occupational diseases. The authors compared occurrence of metabolic syndrome for various diagnostic criteria, analyzed prevalence of metabolic syndrome in individuals with various length of service in hazardous conditions, defined main clinical types of the metabolic syndrome manifestation in patients with occupational diseases.
