The purpose of the study was to determine the role of TP53 tumor suppressor gene polymorphisms in the occurrence of skin malignant neoplasms in glass fiber manufacturing workers. We carried out a comparative study of polymorphous loci Arg72Pro and dup16bp in TP53 gene in workers with skin cancer and hyperkeratosis (n = 68), occupied in continuous glass fiber manufacture, and in healthy workers (n = 52). The associations of both Pro and dup16 minor alleles of TP53 gene, and Arg/Pro-W/dup16 genotype combination with higher risks for skin oncologic diseases of occupational genesis have been revealed.
The reform of the medical service dealing with occupational pathologies in the city of Kazan, introduction of new management conditions involving the market-economy tools and emergence, in this connection, of patient-care and prevention facilities of different organizational-and-legal types had a negative effect on the health of employees occupied at hazardous and dangerous enterprises. Data related with the system of periodical prevention measures undertaken for the sake of health protection of able-bodied population are elucidated; methods of promoting the structure and management of the occupational-pathology service functioning under the conditions of a big industrial city are suggested.
The authors analysed history of "occupational bronchitis" term establishment, presented various points of view on defining occupational bronchial obstruction diseases, their classification and connections with other diseases. Evaluating pathogenetic features of occupational bronchitis, the authors emphasized studies of disordered "proteolysis-antiproteolysis" system role, xenobiotics biotransformation and free-radical processes. The authors pointed promising role of molecular genetic studies for better and more individual system of medical care for workers.
The authors briefly present data on state of hygienic regulation of electromagnetic fields in Russian Federation and abroad, describe differences in criteria and approaches to regulation. Based on data analysis, the authors suggest possible harmonization of national and foreign norms and prospective research trends in assessing biologic influence and hygienic regulation of electromagnetic fields.
The authors justified study program and complex of adequate, informative and significant parameters of intestinal microecology in hygienic regulation of industrial germs, in evaluating their risk for workers engaged into biotechnologic industry.
